Preamble
The Honourable Okey Joe (HOJ) Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 2022 by Hon. Prince Okey-Joe Jesse Onuakalusi, Esq., with the mission to empower the vulnerable, foster inclusivity, and drive societal advancement. Incorporated in 2023 under Nigerian law, the foundation serves as a beacon of hope for underprivileged communities. Okey-Joe, as he is fondly called, believes that every citizen has the potential to be a light, brightening society if adequately empowered. Guided by this vision, the foundation is dedicated to human capital development, poverty reduction, and promoting social inclusion.
Founder’s Vision
A principled legal practitioner with nearly two decades of experience, Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi is a dedicated defender of human rights. His passion for uplifting the less privileged and advancing society led to the creation of the Hon. Okey-Joe Foundation. A man of integrity and humility, he is committed to ensuring that those most in need are supported and given the opportunity to thrive. Okey-Joe is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Association of Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation (AAMC), and Advocate Africa.

Organizational Structure
The foundation operates through three key organs: the General Assembly, the Board of Trustees, and the Management Committee.
Area of Coverage
While the foundation’s primary focus is on the Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II, it also extends its services to vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
